Black Friday events affect online casino industry

Online casino affiliates were surprised yesterday to discover in their mailboxes an email from Bestcasinopartner.com asking all affiliates to disable all their banners and casino links by Friday 27th May 2011.

Bestcasinopartner.com is an affiliation program that promoted some of the biggest and best online casinos accepting US players. Their casinos included Go Casino, Crazy Slots, Grand Vegas and Online Vegas.

The email informed affiliates that all their links will be deactivated following Friday and that the program is sorry for the short notice and blamed the action for recent events without stating what these recent events were.

Since the announcement came just a day after additional indictments and charges were handed out to two companies and their founders, while seizer orders were handed out to six dot.com domains of online poker, bingo, sportsbook, and casino brands associated with these companies, it is safe to assume that this event coupled with the events of Black Friday had something to do with it.

A week ago a similar email was received from Casinocoins.com that operates such brands as English Harbor, Millionaire Casino, Super Slots and VIP Slots announcing they are no longer accepting new players but will continue paying affiliates for existing players.

However yesterday's email is is not indicating that Bestcasinopartner.com will continue operating its brands for existing players and will continue paying affiliates. As things stand at the moment it seems that Bestcasinopartner.com is closing down for good in the hope of avoiding any future legal action from US authorities.
