New Jersey eGaming Bill Blocked

Sad news for online gamers from the state of New Jersey in the US; their proposed e-gaming bill that has gone through all the appropriate channels got blacked on the last hurdle.

Republican Governor Chris Christie has vetoed the bill. This a complete U-turn to its agreement with Senator Lesniak to amend the bill and fast track it into law as early as next week.

In a press release issued by the Governor's office it stated that the bill was inconsistent with the administration's ambition to revitalize Atlantic City's gaming industry.

The move now ensures that New Jersey will not become the first US state to license and regulate online gambling within its borders.
