Dolly Definition

In American Roulette the Croupier marks the winning number by placing a Marker made of wood or plastic on the Roulette table on the square of the winning number. The score Marker is called 'Dolly' because its outline resembles a doll. The purpose of the Dolly is to help players remember the winning number until all bets are paid and a new betting Round begins.

The Dolly does not exists in French Roulette where the Croupier simply points a stick at the winning number.
