It seems that ever since the events of Black Friday on April 15th, Full Tilt Poker is on a collision course towards bankruptcy and closure.
Just earlier this week we heard that the company is being sued in a class action brought on by frustrated US poker players who wish to have money held up in their player account returned. The one of the plaintiffs' is Todd Terry, a professional poker player and former lawyer who decided enough was enough.
In addition the week before saw Full Tilt lose its interactive gaming license from Alderney Gaming Control Commission (AGCC), which brought to a complete halt the Full Tilt Poker software. European and international players cannot play or access funds and their website states they are down for routine maintenance for over a week now.
The AGCC has a planned hearing regarding the license suspension set for the 26th of July and it looks like until then no one knows what will happen.
Now an additional blow was handed onto the dying Full Tilt Poker from Frence regulator ARJEL that has suspended Full Tilt's license. Rekop Limited that French license holder on behalf of Full Tilt issued a statement on its website announcing the license suspension was a precautionary measure.
No end date to the suspension was set. But spokesperson for ARJEL stated that they plan on staying in close contact with Full Tilt so that all the refinancing conditions that set off this suspension are to ARJEL liking.
