Last week Full Tilt Poker‘s European and international players had a nasty surprise while trying to login to their poker accounts. Players received a message saying the system was down for maintenance and will be accessible soon.

This message has been on the site since and no players will be able to access their player account and withdraw their outstanding account balance from their player account. However Full Tilt Poker lost its gaming license and money processors such as Money Bookers have stopped all working with it once the license suspension was announced.

Full Tilt Poker has yet to return US players’ funds following the events of Black Friday and federal indictments served against Full Tilt Poker founders. Even though the US Department of Justice (DoJ) unfroze some of Full Tilt Poker bank accounts the company has failed to return any of the over 100 million USD it is rumored to be holding of US players funds.

Furthermore no one knows exactly how much of European, Australian, South African, etc. Players' funds are held in Full Tilt Poker's bank accounts around the world.

In the meantime disgruntled players frustrated not only by the lack of access to their money, but also upset they can no longer play poker online on what was their favorite online poker site, have been opening poker playing accounts with competing online poker rooms.

The biggest winner is without a doubt PokerStars that have taken 66% of Full Tilt Poker players that were looking for a new online poker room to play at. PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker have been the top two poker rooms in the world, with PokerStars always beating Full Tilt to the top spot.
