Full Tilt Poker (FTP) is doing its best to recover and save its failing international online poker business. It is in talks with various potential investors and is currently is a state of having its French and Alderney Interactive Gaming License suspended.
Now FTP has managed to renew its Secondary Client Provider Authorization (CPA) for the Kolyma company, part of the FTP group, in the Canadian region Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) that assured it would be keeping a close eye on the happenings with FTP’s French and Alderney licensing authorities in the upcoming hearings scheduled for FTP with regards to re-establishing or completely withdrawing their licenses.
The renewal of the KGC license is valid for two years but can be subject to changes or complete withdrawal if FTP does not sort its primary licensing issues as the KGC requires its CPA holders to have a valid Interactive Gaming License and be in good standing with the authority issuing the license. FTP is currently not in that position so it remains to wait and see how things will develop for FTP with regards to all its licenses.
FTP problems began with the events of Black Friday and the federal indictments against its founders. It continued with FTP inability to pay back the monies of US players it was holding in its accounts. Some estimate the total sum could be as high as 200mil USD.
The delays in refunds have caused the suspension of FTP licenses from Alderney and France, causing it website to become static and announce “System Update” from the moment the Alderney license was suspended, causing all of FTP international players to be locked out of their player accounts without the ability to play poker online or access monies that are rightfully theirs.
