Gambling issues mediation is now real in the UK

There are situations when a gambler and a casino cannot resolve an issue that comes between them. One party thinks that the other is wrong and there is no proper way to solve that. But now, UK players and casinos have this problem solved. eCOGRA is a London-based independent authority, specializing in the certification of online gaming software and systems. The agency have been authorized by the UK Gambling Commission to provide Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services between the UK licensed online gambling providers and players.

That means that if a casino or any other online gambling operator cannot resolve an issue with a player, eCOGRA can be addressed as a third party that will proceed the mediation between the parties. Gamblers themselves can address eCOGRA when they have an issue with an operator.

eCOGRA has been operating since 2002 and have been testing software, auditing security procedures and have helped solve about 8,000 disputes between sites registered with the Safe and Fair seal from eCOGRA and their players. The service that eCOGRA started providing is headed by Clear ADR Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator, Tex Rees: “We've included ADR in our service offering as we know how important it is to players to have an impartial mediator handling their issues with operators. From an operator perspective it is equally important that our clients can come to us for a full suite of services involving independent third parties as required by UKGC regulations.”
