Greek Government to Tax Remote Casino Operators

The Greek Government has proposed to tax remote gaming operators with a 6% turnover tax on all revenues generated from Greek gamblers.

This proposed legislation has come under fire from the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) for simply not being viable under current EU legislation and has fails to address many practical aspects for the proposed taxation.

In the statement the RGA has released they state that in broad they welcome such legislation, however it is imperative that it is feasible in terms of execution and compatible with EU legislation.
