Barely a month has passed since the events of Black Friday and the FBI indictments of eleven founders and owners of online poker sites that accepted real money play from US players in violation of US federal laws.
The poker rooms most affected were the two biggest in the world PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, together with the poker rooms on the Cereus Poker Network that include Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet.
Most of the poker rooms came to an understanding in the last two weeks with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) to have their seized doc.com domains released to facilitate the release of US players' funds held by the poker room operators.
The agreement that Absolute Poker reached with the DoJ was released last week but dated back to the 4th May, in it Absolute Poker has agreed, that for the period that the agreement is valid, it will not allow US players to play on its brand or facilitate and provide the ability to US players to play poker online for real money.
However, yesterday PokerScout.com, a leading poker portal that measures traffic and online trends relating to online poker playing has reported that the Cereus network seems to be again allowing US players to play real money poker games at Absolute Poker.
PokerScout observed traffic coming in from American cities such as Colorado Springs, Bakersfield, Cincinnati and Chicago and being directed to real money games on the Cereus Poker Network.
