The Man Behind US Poker Voters of America Dies

Jim Tabilio, the political lobbyist and strategist behind Poker Voters of America (PVA) has died unexpectedly from a heart attack. He was 59.

PVA is the driving force behind state-by-state regulation to legalize and regulate online poker following the US Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UGIEA) of 2006.

The PVA has done a lot to lobby and push towards opening the US market to internet gambling and has helped draft the current bill that is being considered by Californian legislators and the bill that is due for consideration in April before Floridian legislators.
