Spanish gamblers that prefer to spend time playing online, have found an unpleasant surprise as a Christmas “gift”. Poker stars had to take blackjack and roulette off from their website.
The reason for that was the fact that the players could not access the blackjack and roulette game history from the room, as required by the Spanish gambling regulation.
So the website sent a note to it's clients announcing the decision to remove the casino games.
"We are removing blackjack and roulette casino games from the PokerStars.es software," the note explained. "This is necessary to fix a minor technical issue whereby blackjack hand histories are not available to all players from directly within the software, as required."
The Poker Stars technical department assured the gamblers that the technical issue that caused the decision to freeze the casino games has not affected the integrity of the games presented on the platform. They also made it clear that the technical issues are being worked on and the games will
"The issue resulted in no negative impact on the playing experience nor the integrity of our games," PokerStars wrote in an email sent to the player registered to its Spanish site.
"Nevertheless, we are taking these steps to ensure that our software is 100% compliant with all relevant requirements. Blackjack and roulette will return as soon as possible, likely in a matter of weeks."
