The game Big Six is also goes by the name Wheel of Fortune or Money Wheel and has actually been an inspiration to the popular T.V. game show Wheel of Fortune.

The game dates back to ancient times when men fought in armies equipped with shiny metal armors and rode in chariots.

The exact date and place the game Big Six was invented remains a mystery till this day but it is known that commanders used it to help their soldiers overcome disputes with members of their own squad without having those disputes escalate to bloody duels. The commanders offered soldiers the chance to compete in the game as a way of deciding which soldier should win the dispute.

The soldiers were extremely resourceful when it came to finding materials to create the game and would use the wheels from overturned chariots, while still attached to the wheel axle and suspended in the air as the chariot was overturned.

The soldiers would mark the wheel close to the rim, in the middle of two spokes of the wheel which are the wooden bars that support the rim of the wheel.

The soldiers would then wager on which of the marked spots the wheel will stop spinning at and the soldier that wagered correctly will be declared the winner of the dispute.

From the bloody battlefields the wheel game moved to festivals celebrating the harvest and traveling fairs where local people could take part and enjoy this gambling game.

A smaller version was created that resembled a roulette wheel but it did not gain popularity as the big wheel was very popular at outdoor events where large groups of people could gather and all of them will be able to see the wheel spin and the winning number.

The game lasted through the centuries and today it is still a very popular game and is offered in all big US casinos and in many casinos around the world.

The Big Wheel remained big and nowadays it is a colorful wheel that is divided into equal segments. The segments are marked with different currency denominations. For example: $1, $2, $5, $10 and $20 and there are a few segments that are marked with symbols; usually the logo of the casino or a Joker and there is usually one or two Re-Spin symbols. The casino logo and Joker symbols can pay 40 to 1 or higher to players who wager on them. The payout varies from casino to casino but it is usually the highest paying wager in the game.
