Casino War

Casino War is one of the easiest and most thrilling casino games offering fast action. It is based on the card game War. Most of us remember playing War as kids, which kind of makes Casino War the War game for grown-ups that has a thrilling gambling element to it.

To understand Casino War you must first understand the basic principles of War, a game that is played between two players by dividing 1 single deck of card between them with each player getting half of the deck and holding it faced down.

Each player will turn over the top card from their half of the deck and the player with the higher card will win both cards and add them at the bottom of their deck. Aces are always the highest card.

If the players tie then they 'go to war'; each player will take three cards and put them faced down on top of the face up card and draw a forth card and put it face up on top of the three cards. Now the player with the highest top card wins all the cards that have been played in that round. In case of another tie the players will repeat the process.

Casino War follows the same principles except that wagers are made on each round of play, which changes the purpose of the game and makes it about winning each single hand rather than winning the overall game by collecting all the cards.

In online casinos the game is usually played with multiple decks of cards. Usually it is played with 6 decks but can also be played with 8 decks of cards, and in most online casinos the game is called Casino War but in some it is also known by the name Battle Cards.

The house edge grows with the number of decks the game uses, but tends to be around 2%. That gives the player great odds and makes the game one of the casino games with the highest payout percentage among all of the games offered in casinos and online casinos.

The game also has a few significant differences from the traditional War game; when a tie occurs between the player and dealer, the player is given the option to 'Go to War' so the dealer will deal three face-down cards and burn them and then deal an additional face-up card to the player and himself that will determine the outcome of the round.

The player will not receive three face-down cards as no accumulation of cards is required in order to win the game.

Another significant difference is that in the case of a tie the player has the option to 'Surrender' before any additional cards are dealt. A player that chooses this option will forfeit half their original wager.
